The Blinded Journey

After enjoying his return to his own modern world, Kendel comes to the realization that he longs for the adventure and purpose of his life in the magical land of the Goddess Miriam. When the Goddess of punishment, Shaiss, offers to remove from the modern world once again, Kendel accepts the offer and is transported away, then given the assignment to rescue Miriam. But his hasty departure has left him separated from his close friend Flora, the other modern traveler who experienced the transfer to the fantasy land of magical powers and tangible deities. As Kendel pursues Shaiss's assignment for him, he picks up additional responsibilities and goal along his circuitous path. But no goal comes to mean more to him that reuniting with Flora, and he'll pursue a journey to find her without realizing the costs that will be paid along the way.
