Beautiful, former Miss Teen USA, Carli Hatfield, is sent to Otterbein, Indiana, her senior year to live with her Aunt when her parents volunteer to serve in Afghanistan. Her plans to live in Indiana for one year and then return to California for college are demolished when she meets Jesse Calhoun, all-state football and baseball athlete. When bad things start happening to Carli, Jesse stands by her side and becomes the friend she needs to get her through.
