The Bait

The heroine, Detective Christine Opara, is a tough, witty female detective, and a great main character that anyone (of either sex) can relate. Dorothy had a knack for making you feel like you were actually in the story you were reading, again, better than most (make that almost every) other author I'm familiar with. I'm not going to get into fine detail, as you're probably looking at these reviews to consider buying this wonderful book (which I recommend doing, btw). Discover it for yourself. You will not regret it, I promise. And when you're done, grab the other two books in the series as well (believe me, you will HAVE to if you read this one)... "The Witness", and "The Ledger".
