The Adventures of Helen Wheels Life Began at 21 is the first book in a series, and as such, it introduces the main character, 21 years old Helen, who is an auto mechanic that spends her weekends at the local race track. Her father (and mentor) had died before her twenty first birthday, and our book begins with Helen suddenly caught up in her fathers secrete world of consulting for the police. Her first job: To find evidence to convict a crime family who regularly hide murder behind car accidents including the death of her father. Still reeling from her fathers death, Helen feels all alone. But in a short time things turn around for her. Soon she is surrounded by family and friends that really care about her, and she is involved in something way bigger then she could ever imagine. Amid all the chaos of her new life she finds solitude in the simple things, like working on and driving her 1968 Chevelle SS.
