The ascension to The Dark Ones had brought Rose and her pack power. But it had also brought peril. With the higher immortal circles observing their every move, the only way the pack can prevent from becoming the recipients of their resentment is to keep their presence profitable for the wider community. When someone begins targeting the twentyfourhourlies, the civil and agreeable vampiric individuals, the werewolves come to their aid.
