At least that's the first time I remember dwelling on my mortality. Shiloh Tempest, still an unmarried man despite his best efforts, is happy to celebrate the marriage of his co-worker. But just before the ceremony begins, the minister is killed by a sniper. Is it a random murder with no motive beyond evil? Is it a hate crime targeting the gay newlyweds? Or was the killer gunning for Shiloh?
