About This Book

Set in the rural south, Edna Deverson is coping with identity issues and the harsh realities of life after she was told her biological parents were not her real parents. Dealing with the fact that she is African American, and could possibly be the daughter of a rich, prominent, white woman, named Kay Rocmore has been overwhelming to say the least. Because of these things a lot has come into question, like the various incomes she receives and the land her family owns.

The people around her now have motives and they will stop at nothing to get what they want; even committing murder. Susan Nayers, the attorney, has been given some information that causes her to rethink her sole purpose of coming to the south. But that is a drop in the bucket when she finds out there is another whole side to Kay Rocmore and her past.
