      In this series of six sequential stories, we follow Char who has just returned from ten years in the Army. She had her legs blown off in Afghanistan and struggles with getting her life back, while working at her parents’ Motel L.A. Char was a Military Police Investigator in the Army, so her friend, LAPD Sergeant Gabe Roca, is able to get her a part-time job at a P.I. Agency owned by his former police partner, Don Ferguson. She strives to get her P.I. license while solving mysteries in each of the stories.
