Spirit of the Game

Games are deadly when the rules call for murder and the penalties are explosive. Samantha Gerald has it all – wealth, a luxurious apartment in San Francisco, a husband she loves, the impending birth of their first baby and the ability to separate her consciousness from her ever-growing pregnant body, roller-coaster hormones, pains and cravings. Then her world comes crashing down when the city is brought to its knees by a gamer that shuts down the electricity and phones, puts toxic drugs in the water supply and slaughters its citizens as pawns in his game. As Samantha uses her wealth and resources to keep the city afloat, she becomes trapped in the deadly game with her husband, San Francisco Inspector Dodge Dart. The bodies pile up and it's a race for Samantha and Dodge to find the gamer and win the game before the city implodes and they become expendable players of the game.
