Officially Shasta’s job description is simple. Solve the case. Save the town. For a half elf, half witch, a deer problem should be easy to fix.

Two weeks into the new case things get odd, even by Shasta’s standards. Arrows bounce off attacking deer, evidence goes missing, and there’s a suspicious lack of wildlife in the area.

When mystery turns into something more sinister, Shasta and Cord must rely on each other to survive. But, when sacrifice is the only way, will she be strong enough to last through the pain and ensure justice is served?
