Speedster's Spark

Patrick Omer's life has followed a rollercoaster of ups and downs ever since he became a superhero. However, once he moved to California to start college, he expected his life to slow down. But when a mysterious trio of criminals wearing golden opera masks shows up, leaving a trail of chaos and destruction, Patrick realizes he must resume his hidden identity in order to put a stop to their activities. When an attack from one of the Opera Mask Gang members sends him crashing into a transformer, Patrick finds himself unable to use his superspeed. And it doesn't seem to be coming back any time soon. Patrick is determined to find a way to restore his superspeed and bring down the gang. But when this commitment begins to push aside his commitment to his friends and team members, he wrestles with the choices he's made. Without his superspeed, will the mysterious trio of amplified criminals continue to push moral boundaries further and further? Are powers really what make someone a superhero?
