Jacynda Lassiter is one of the best Time Rovers in the business, but she's losing her edge. Her current assignment -- find an overdue "tourist" in 1888 London and return him to 2057.

Hampered by near-crippling Time Lag and vivid hallucinations, Jacynda finds Victorian London in turmoil. Mysterious shape-shifters roam the streets, mimicking any form they choose. Anarchists plot revenge against the Crown. When a fellow Time Rover is murdered, her mission becomes personal. Dare she trust the two Victorian gentlemen who come to her aid? Is one of them the infamous Jack the Ripper?

As her employer sinks into bankruptcy, threatening to orphan her in a time period she loathes, Jacynda must find a way to outwit a madman. If she fails, her Victorian sojourn will rewrite history -- and end at the point of a blade.
