After everything has happened in Avendale, The Authority moves their attention to Mayson Peak in order to find and capture The Light Keepers. Horrified by the sudden surge of troops, Melissa Davies and her friends work with the remaining Light Keepers to stay hidden away, when they are joined by sudden visitors from Avendale! Plans begin to be set in motion for the climatic final move to shut down The Authority and stop the production of the Crimson Vile once and for all. The risks have never been higher and the cost has never been greater. The only obstacle standing in Melissa's way: her best friend and former Light Keeper now acting as Governess of Virginia and head of The Authority forces.
