I never dreamed I'd be in this situation.



When I came to, I discovered I'd been betrayed, drugged, ambushed, caught in the middle of a bar fight, and dropped over a ledge and left to die in a fire.



No, no, that's actually fairly normal for me.



However, I didn't expect the one who would save me from all of this would be a young girl---a young girl who reminds me entirely too much of me. And she's not asking too much for saving me. She merely wants me to get her into a ball and to introduce her to the man of her dreams. Oh, and we have to do this without being identified because if we're caught, we'll both be thrown into the dungeons to rot. Well, my new partner will be. I'll probably be dead because my worst enemy going to be attending this same ball. If she catches me, I'm dead.



Now, where did I leave that magic wand?
