About This Book

Despite the grieving husband's description of the event, Sergeant CJ Jensen isn't at all convinced that a farm fatality is really an accident. With the help of Pam Ryan, Floyd Swenson, and a neighbor who raises skunks, CJ's investigation uncovers multiple mysteries as she moves forward and puts down permanent roots in Pine County. Review Snippets: Dean nailed it again. As a retired law enforcement officer, I can relate to all aspects of this book. It flows so well with many twists and turns that culminate with an ending that ties it all together and doesn't leave you hanging. Can't wait for his next book.- Osten B. This book is outstanding. It features the crew of the Pine County Sheriff's Office enmeshed in an investigation that has more action, twists and turns than two days spent on the Valley Fair roller coaster. It is well written, filled with a flock of characters, including a flatulent basset hound. The only flaw I could find was that it ended too soon. If you want to lose several days not involved in other activities, I strongly recommend this book.Typical Dean Hovey creation. - Greg P. There is drama, humor and compassion blended perfectly. - Linda J. I don't know how you keep coming up with these great tales, they're intriguing, scary, funny and hold my attention... Can't wait for another story in Pine County. -Kathy W-B
