Sheep in the Fold

F.B.I. agent Karen Raney investigates two, apparently unconnected, criminals-a robber whose trail has gone cold and a possible embedded terrorist. Karen believes her robber is now into new crimes and is likely aided by others he has enlisted to aid and assist him. Karen tries to understand the two threats-ordinary criminals, in it for the money, and/or an extremist political group? Wrestling invisible opponents in a shadowy underworld, Karen finally faces down her robbery suspect who claims terrorism is unfolding on American soil. Have terrorists slipped past sleeping American law enforcement? Battling the inertia and skepticism of long entrenched politicians, Karen leads a dramatic foreign mission to capture a terrorist leader. Joining in a strange dance of survival with her suspected robber, Karen forms an unlikely alliance with strong romantic overtones. Will Karen flush out the terrorists and the robber, or will she destroy her career and end up on the wrong side of the law?
