It's never a good idea to mix business with pleasure. But for marine biologist Doc Ford, who loves his job almost as much as he loves the Florida coast, the line between the two often smudges.

On a working vacation in Guava Key, Doc hopes to catch some R&R along with the catch of the day. But Doc, who has a nose for trouble, soon finds himself in a whirlpool of intrigue, kidnapping, and revenge that becomes more dangerous with each spin. Add to that a Bahamian relative he never knew he had, some buried treasure, and a skeleton that falls out of his closet. Suddenly, his life is filled with complications -- not the least of which is the prospect of his death...
