About This Book
For many years, seemingly outside the knowledge of his family, John Alexander endured attacks from a dark entity, not knowing the exact nature of the shadow or why it tormented him. However, when he turned eighteen, inexplicably, the torment stopped and the shadow receded, leaving nothing but faint haunting memories. For the first time in his life, John was able to enjoy nights of uninterrupted slumber and the shadow that had plagued him was all but forgotten as he started college. Four years passed quietly and he began to grow fond of the night and of the dark. The shadows were now merely shadows. They companioned the night, and didn't move or bend the way they use to. He used the darkness to hide, seek, or drift off to dream and for one brief moment in time, the innocence of his childhood returned. Then in John's senior year of college, the darkness betrayed him when once again it breathed life into the shadow. Once again, John was stalked in the night with more fury and violence than he had ever encountered before. However, this time the shadow fixated not only on John, but also on his closest friends, ensnaring one, attacking all, and sending John and the others scrambling for answers. In their attempt to band together and make a stand, the truth John had longingly searched for in his youth was found, and a dark destiny was revealed.
