Shadow Cast

All Jason ever wanted was a family. Somewhere to belong. Born in 1677 in Bordeaux, France, his father is cousin to Louis the Sun King. His father, in a fit of jealousy, burns down the family's chateau, taking his own life and that of Jason's mother and brother. This act sets Jason on a path to Paris where he attracts the attention of an ancient Russian strigoi (immortal bold-drinkers). Although he stays by Alexander's side for some time, Jason ultimately rejects him and boards a ship bound for America, determined to once again start a family of his own. Featuring complex family dynamics worthy of a day-time drama, The Shadowlands series follows the journey of three young people into the world of the strigoi.
