When the Allshire and National Bank is robbed on market day,Trewley and Stone can't wait to feast their eyes on the video that a documentary film crew shot while the thieves were making their getaway. But, much to their dismay, the film doesn't offer up any leads. Hot on the heels of the robbery, two local optical shops are broken into and an optician is kidnapped. The fact that the missing optician was an eyewitness to the bank robbery is a coincidence too strong for Trewley and Stone to overlook, leading them to the conclusion that there's much more to this case than meets the eye...
