About the Author: Melanie Lane Wells began writing poetry when she was twelve years old, but it wasn't long before she moved on to storytelling. The idea of the main characters of Jessica and Nathan from Secrets of Sandy Cove came to her when she was about fourteen, but the motivation to write their story did not flow from her until she was a married woman with children.
