Romeo's

Beatrice Sawyer does what every woman in the world has wanted to do at one time or the other. She packs her bags, gets in her car and bids goodbye to her weak, good for nothing ex-fiance and her over-bearing domineering father. She decides to drives south and look for warmer weather, friendlier people, and a more peaceful lifestyle. She settles in the first town that appeals to her, then buys and renovates a downtown building and opens Romeo's, an upscale tavern that is an instant success in the small college town in which she has chosen to live. After a college student commits suicide in Romeo's bathroom, Beatrice meets the girl's older brother when he comes to town to investigate his sister's death. Hard-working Anthony Alberti is a New York City detective and is convinced his sister did not commit suicide. He believes she was murdered. When other young girls are found dead in the same manner in taverns all over town, Beatrice finds herself drawn into the search to find the killer.
