Rochel Rosinski Diary-March 4th, 1943.My nine-month-old sister died today from hunger and thirst; her little body was taken by a German soldier from the concentration camp to one of the many deep pits where bodies were being cremated, but before he did it, a few tears escaped from his eyes. We were all sitting on the wet, cold ground holding hands; I knew we were going to join my sister soon. All of a sudden, my father told us that he had an idea; he called the soldier that took my little sister's body. The soldier thought somebody else from our family had died.
