Ripping Abigail, a Quilted Mystery Novel

PI Rachel Lyons once again tackles the bad guys, using her special style of discovery--employing any and all tools available. Her first assignment in Ripping Abigail is to retrieve rebel Abigail P. who has escaped the boredom of her homeschool group to register herself in the local high school. But when she arrives, Lyons discovers a school in crisis due to the car-crash deaths of five recent alumni. Her well-meaning attempts to communicate with the administration of the school are derailed by the hysteria gripping the school. Further complicating the mother-daughter conflict over Abigail's desire to attend public school is a local gang and its apparent transformation from generally tame to suddenly violent. Eventually, Rachel turns to husband/PI partner Matthew Lyons in her efforts to secure Abigail's safety. This book is a perfect sequel to Ada Unraveling, continuing the page-turner flow of the first Quilted Mystery novel.
