It's a fact, a plain and simple fact, that every story has at least two sides to it. As children, we had difficulty understanding this concept. Everything was either black or white, right or wrong, good or evil. As adults, we come to learn that life is full of more subtleties than our simplistic childhood fantasies could embrace. The Second Side Series was created to explore different perspectives within classic fairytales. Reversal of Beauty is the magical and surprising retelling of the classic tale Beauty and the Beast. We are presented with the brooding, yet kind-hearted Beast on his journey to fulfill his late governess's dying wish of caring for her selfish, inconsiderate daughter, Beauty. Between rebellious servants and Beauty's outbursts, he finds it hard to hope that his curse will ever be broken. Will he forever be the soul of a man trapped in the body of a beast?
