Nick McGuire, aka the Blue Masked Hero, has just discovered that being a superhero isn't as simple as he thought. Not only has his best friend Maddie been lying to him for years, a secret organization is out to get him. Who are these people and what do they want?

When Nick's mom refuses to allow him to "play hero," Maddie steps up to the plate. The world dubs her the Red Masked Heroine and expects her to fill his shoes. Things go well, until Nick is forced out of hiding because the safety of his family and the world is at risk. Together, Nick and Maddie trace down the identity of that secret organization.
