With a few bruises and some lessons learned, Philadelphian Ian Connors continues his new job as a law firm investigator in this third installment of the Ian Connors Mystery series. It’s 1980 and casinos have come to Atlantic City, bringing with them greed and corruption. Ian seeks to help an abused, elderly woman rid herself of Mafia control in the form of vicious mobster Nicky Scafino. Having no knowledge of the island-city’s inner workings, Ian must tiptoe through AC’s unique neighborhoods with the help of ACPD Detectives Freely and Papelli, and AC City Prosecutor Kim Berkley.
