About This Book

From the Foreword: In late September, 1991, an unfinished version of what would become the only animated feature to be nominated for best film at the Academy Awards, Beauty and the Beast, was shown at the New York Film Festival. About seventy percent of the animated scenes were complete. The rest were represented by pencil tests and storyboards. Reportedly, the standing ovation for the incomplete rendering lasted for ten minutes. The final movie was screened the next year at the Cannes Film Festival and finally released in late November, 1992.What you are reading now is somewhat the same, though not nearly as far along. Simply stated, presented here are four works, one of which will probably never go further than what you are about to read, two more which will likely be years in completion, and the last of which is a continual project, such as was first envisioned for another Disney product, Fantasia. These are being released now because there is no good reason to keep what is there under wraps awaiting completion. The words deserve the light of day.Contents include: Short Short Short, a collection of the briefest of stories first published on Facebook; Wanderings Within: Psychological Reflections on the World of Characters in the Gandy Mystery Novels, by Susan, using her psychology skills; Even More Mid-Month Reflections, a third go at collecting think pieces, secular devotionals; and Restate Of This Art, an updated survey of the entire body of mystery novels from 1989 to the present.
