Dusk is a young kitsune--a magical fox shifter--who lives in a Zoo for magical creatures and performs illusions to entertain audiences. Her only problem is concealing her demon race from the humans around her--and her new, secret magic.When her secret magic spawns a hurricane that wrecks the Zoo, Dusk flees to a far corner that has been closed to the public for years--because it contains a caged dragon. He recognizes her as a kitsune from his own world, and is outraged that the Zoo has been taking advantage of her talents.Now the unlikely pair must escape and find a portal to their homeworld, before the Zoo recaptures them and sentences them to life imprisonment.
