When garage sale reseller, dog shelter volunteer, and amateur sleuth, Macy Garson, comes back from a reseller conference in Reno with a Rising Star Award, she's brimming with ideas to grow her business.
She has the inventory, she has the know-how, but her reality is that she just can't do it all herself, so she starts looking for an assistant.

Consumed with her business, Macy still makes time to help plan a pet parade to raise funds and secure adoptions for the dogs at Happy Paws. When a Junkyard Dog client ropes Macy into investigating the all too convenient death of her friend, Macy is glad that she hired an assistant when she did. Particularly an assistant who loves murder mysteries.

Focused on her business but determined to get to the bottom of the case, Macy isn't prepared for a persistent mechanic who is more interested in Macy than in her truck, and two very special cases of canines that she needs to rehabilitate for adoption.

Plagued by guilt, Macy tries her best to be everywhere at once and finds herself overwhelmed.
