Paradise Lost

Paradise Lost South Florida has always been considered Paradise to spring breakers, College kids and snowbirds. Then women and young girls began to vanish without a trace. One minute there, the next gone. Now a dark curtain of fear is dimming the light of Paradise. Fear drives the Mayor to have Detective Doris Linacre to bring Joe Collins, who walked away from the Job after bagging the Butterfly Killer, back to work the case. Collins reputation as a bulldog who doesn't give up works as he immediately recognizes a pattern to the vanishings that he has seen before on the other side of the world during Operation Desert Storm. As he begins to track down the leader of this vicious gang of white slavers, he must also deal with a jealously deranged rogue cop who may or may not be in league with the slavers. Will Collins and Linacre find the missing women and stop the slavers? Or will they, like Paradise, be Lost in the effort?
