Pale Horse

As a plague tears through the Capital at a frightening rate, four men are trapped in the quarantine. One, an elderly Senator working hard to protect his city, finds that not all good public works see the light of day, while a general of great renown seizes the opportunity to launch a political coup. As the death toll steadily rises, a Hashishin and an Assassin are swept up in the whirlwind of plots and conspiracies, and are set on a collision course with one another that will determine the future of the city. While the Hashishin seeks to answer his own questions of the morality of murder, the Assassin seeks only to fill his pouches with as much blood-stained gold as he can. As the plague dissipates, their lives will change... or end.
