Going undercover was no way to spend a honeymoon... But the police commission needed a favor - badly - so Reid Bennett, his new wife and police dog, Sam, pack up for the Canadian mining town of Elliot, where Reid lands a job as a local cop to investigate rumors of police corruption. Violence seems to be a way of life in the rough gold-digging town...so do kickbacks, payoffs, extortion...and sudden death. The closer Bennett gets to the playing table, the deadlier the game becomes. A cop willing to talk suddenly dies; a hooker with a big mouth is strangled. Bennett receives a Molotov cocktail. Things are getting personal. Reid Bennett is ready to play his final ace...and blast the game wide open.
