Alexis fears her abilities are gone and with them her best chance at finding her mother. Maxwell cannot disguise his relief and, despite their deepening relationship, he hopes Alexis has returned to "normal."

When Alexis confronts her father and demands the truth about her mother's disappearance she gets much more than information. She discovers she has a new psychic ability. Unable to bear Maxwell's skepticism, Alexis keeps her new ability a secret until a new force threatens the residents of Oakshade Manor.
