Nyal's Story

When Gon, the Oldest Living Vampire, was a mortal man, he had two wives: the Neanderthal Eyya and the tempestuous Nyala. Nyala is a crotchety old grandmother now, and her husband Gon is worshipped as a god by their people. Nyala knows her husband is no god, but when their village is raided by the Foul Ones, a neighboring tribe of brutal cannibals, and two of Nyala's granddaughters are taken captive, Nyala seeks out Gon in the hopes that he can find and rescue their children.

But Gon is not the man she used to love. He might possess the powers of a god, but those powers come at a terrific price. Can he save his mortal grandchildren, or will he surrender to his unspeakable desires?
