Gregory Thorn was pissed. He hadn't intentionally come to the Pacific Northwest to seek out his revenge on Donavan Mason. Hadn't even known he was there, until one evening while hunting, he'd picked up the other vampire's scent. Consequently, he'd made it a point to start killing in Mason's territory, secretly hoping that his hated enemy would eventually be found out and get the blame. Now Mason knew he was there, and Gregory would have to be more careful, for as much as it irked Gregory, Mason was as strong as he. But his frail little human friends weren't. Gregory hoped to kill the woman and take the child and turn her; something that would really piss Mason off. There was an unwritten code among the vampire community – One didn't turn children! It trapped them in children's bodies for all eternity, but Gregory was prepared to do anything to get back at Mason.
