Lysandra Blake may have thwarted Mason’s plan to bring magic back into the world, but she and her friends are far from safe. With the touch seal leaking waves of unstable power, and Mason trying to break more users, they are fighting an uphill battle. An uneasy alliance with the New isn’t enough, so Ayden asks Kamau to reach out to his tribe. The tribes are secretive, paranoid and more apt to kill outsiders than listen to anything they say, but when Mason’s touch users exhibit powers beyond the norm, Kamau agrees. Lys and the rest are thrust into a world of hidden powers and drastic consequences. It doesn’t take long for Lys to realize she’s out of her league, and she quickly finds that she is dangerously close to losing what little control she has gained over her magic.
