Mysterious Valley

During a dual cross-country training flight Maggie's instructor pulls a simulated engine-out over the mountains north of Lake Berryessa. Her instructor, expecting her to flounder in this rugged terrain, is impressed that she found a landing strip and allows her to continue the landing. But on the final approach, just a hundred feet above ground, a blinding green beam of light penetrates the windscreen. Maggie's undauntable curiosity overpowers her caution, and she is driven to find out why such a powerful beam of light was emanating from the end of a small private runway with the curious name of: Mysterious Valley.
