Murder in South Carolina

Nola Dean Buckingham decides to go to her Myrtle Beach condo when her daughter leaves for college. She arrives shortly after a heavy band of thunderstorms have knocked out the power. Climbing seven floors to her unit with her dog on his leash and her cat in his carrier, she expects to go inside, find candles and relax. Instead, she enters the dark condo and falls over a dead body. The next morning, the body disappears from her condo and turns up on the beach. Police Detective, Joe Randell thinks Nola Dean imagined the incident, but there's something about the widow that intrigues his softer side. When she receives threatening calls and more bodies turn up, he knows he must solve the cases to keep her safe.
