Opening Night for the Carmel Playhouse production of A Classic Case of Murder was a killer. So was the cast party. Especially when the body of Sisu Porter washed ashore.

The actress had been small on talent, big on ego and had more enemies than Broadway has lights. Everybody despised her. But who had actually performed the melodramatic irony of killing her?

It's a question Vivienne Montrose, the beautiful and reclusive former Hollywood starlet, can't ignore. After all, she found poor Sisu's body. But soon Vivienne discovers that the most shocking theatrics are being played in the tangled web of the lives encircling the Carmel Playhouse. And there's a killer taking center stage.
