Wilmington historical preservationist Ashley Wilkes is hired to work on restoring a period mansion inherited by glamorous television star Tiffany Talliere, whose meteoric success--and newfound wealth--has made the extensive renovations possible. But when a female cast member of Tiffany's locally filmed hit show, Dolphin's Cove, dies after drinking tainted tea at the actress's garden party, it looks like murder might spoil Ashley's dream job.

Is the young woman's death by azalea poisoning linked to the recent spate of dead bodies with missing limbs washing up on shore? Ashley starts digging, much to the concern of her cop boyfriend. Soon her sleuthing skills turn up evidence that someone wants to keep buried, putting Ashley in a race with a killer desperate to silence her before she exposes the shocking truth.
