As chief investigator for the Mesa Grande, Colorado, public defender's office, Dave's reputation for solving the toughest cases had followed him all the way from New York City. So had is mother, his very unofficial homicide consultant. She did her best detective work over plates of pot roast and strudel, happily feeding her son while gleaning all the details of his latest case.

Now murder takes center stage at a local amateur theater production of Macbeth. Mom, of course, has some ideas of her own about whodunit as dark secrets, stormy passions, age and jealousy unfold. Soon there's more drama offstage than on as murder makes another curtain call ... before Dave--and Mom--close down the show.
