Traveling nurse Mercy Mares is an expert at two things: trouble and mayhem. When Mercy reports for the first day of work for a nursing home, she knows she has her work cut out for her, but she had no idea that by the end of the day, she'd have 36 anxious patients, 12 angry administrators, and a murder on her hands.

As the new person in town, of course, all eyes are on her. If she doesn't find the killer soon, she just might find a pair of handcuffs around her wrists and a life behind bars.
