Masquerade

When a massive interstate pileup brings chaos to a suburban Seattle hospital, patient-relations manager Robyn Kelly dives into the fray. Later she learns that one of the injured, Congressman Jake Hamilton, has logged a personal complaint against her after she politely refused to put his needs before those of the more seriously hurt. Her career on the line, she visits the congressman's room--and finds him murdered in his bed.

Incriminated and worried, Robyn starts digging into Hamilton's life and discovers that behind his handsome facade was a ruthless, vicious bully with many enemies. Dodging the media frenzy and the lead detective proves tough, especially when she begins to suspect the killer is someone at the hospital--someone hiding in plain sight, ready to murder again to conceal a deadly masquerade.
