It was the oddest thing. The young maid was discovered dead in the bath with a stocking tied around her neck--and one shoe missing! And when a second maid and then a third are also found dead--each missing one shoe--Cecily wants answers. The Pennyfoot has never witnessed such a peculiar crime, and Cecily has no idea where to begin. It's starting to look like the only thing she can do is wait for the other shoe to drop...
