With friends like these, who needs enemies? Ava has a lot on her plate. School, friends, her boyfriend... Oh, and saving the world. Ava isn't just your average person, she and her friends are magical girls. But fighting the forces of evil isn't easy and sometimes the worst betrayal can come from within. When Ava runs late to a meeting, she learns her friends plan to betray her after they defeat the group known as the Shimmer. Broken, she decides to join their supposed enemy only to learn nothing is as it seems and what they were told was a lie. But who is the real enemy? And what do they want with the magical girls?
