Moloch is a powerful demon who has plagued mankind with his cruelty from the beginning of human life on this planet. Croghan is a bard whose origins as a Druid made him the best choice as Keeper of the Portals at the Hub of Time where he plays the Songs of Light to ward off beings of Darkness trying to enter the Hub. Cian son of Dara, born near the end of Iron Age Donegal, Ireland, is a young boy with a destiny to travel across time and continents to battle Moloch and banish him to the Outer Darkness, thus giving humankind rest for a while from the demon's merciless brutality. Losing means Cian will suffer a horrible death, so victory must be his. Cian's fate, and that of the future world, is held by both the demon and bard, but only one will prevail in determining the outcome in this eternal war between Light and Darkness.
