This book contains a number of short stories. They are all set in times gone by, mainly the 1600s in England or even earlier than those. They remind readers today that living as a member of royalty is not always as romantic as we might believe. Such people have their problems, too, not the least of which in one of the stories is a possible takeover of the kingdom. I do love a happy ending so all does come right for the couples in the end.
