Little Girls is story #9 in The Bethesda Wars

Jeremy Stark and Anthony Gallo are strangers to each other, and strangers to the goings on of a secret Compound located in Bethesda, Maryland. But each find themselves drawn into its web:
Jeremy attends a funeral of a poor little girl who succombed to a fatal disease. But a year later he is at a party...only to see that same little girl, walking amongst family and friends without a care in the world.

And Anthony Gallo, working as a paramedic in Philadelphia, has started to see a pattern of strange killings in his fair city. As disturbing is the media and police's insistence that there are no killings.

The two men start exploring the mysteries they have stumbled into...only to find it leads them to a certain Compound, where they find extraordinary people with extraordinary talents...and perhaps dangers they will not survive.
