Life After Life

Kendel wanted to find her biological family, but there was a slight problem. She was already dead, and had been living in paradise for almost 140 years. However, she had been instructed to go to LandsEnd and work with John Collins, but the work involved going back into a very unsafe world and convincing already dead people to choose to live in paradise. Which was okay, until one dark night she was mugged and ended up with partial amnesia. Knowing your own name is a plus, but not having any idea where you were for the last few years (plus a hundred) is a significant problem. At least, a couple of people in the local police department were willing to provide a kind of undercover job at the local high school. Which would have been fine, until then she was caught by the very people the police were trying to catch. Will Kendel recover her memory? Will she ever be reunited with at least some of her physical family? Can she ever return to paradise?
